? I suspect its the CPU! So i bought this computer with the information that it should be able to run csgo smooth. i have a 144 hz monitor as well, but im only having around 100-120 fps with alot of fps drops and laggy tendencies, this takes the smoothness away and therefore the actual joy of playing. I really want everything in csgo to be butter smooth, and im willing to do whatever it takes.. so community my question is, do i need to replace some hardware in my pc, or are my speccs good enough, just me making mistakes or blocking something? Perhaps the 6402P just isn't powerful enough for CS:GO Are you running low/med graphics? According to this one: https://www.userbenchmark.com[...] 6402p is expected to deliver 120-130 FPS with graphics set to MAX. With a 6600K you should get 150-160 What resolution are you playing at? 1920x1080? Second thing: Is your memrory 1 module of 8 GBs or 2 modules of 4? 2x4 is prefered (double bandwidth)

Further things: Are you playing on cable network or WiFi-connection? What is your connection speed and ping? Install MSI Afterburner and watch the frame time window after you have played a while. Are there jumps? Is it correlated to any CPU/GPU/Disk activity or "overload" (high temperature, out of memory etc).

certain programmes can cause issues as well.. I've had issues with f.lux, overlays of any kind (discord, afterburner etc.) and programmes that use hardware accelleration for graphics, like browsers and discord.. So I'd try to NOT have any of those running to begin with.. It is a strange CPU for a gaming PC, as its somewhat low clocked, and CSGO loves high clocks, so your CPU guess might be pretty spot on. Wierd things it could be (from the top of my head): 1) CPU interrupts from the driver (try DDU (display driver uninstaller) and reinstall the gfx driver) 2) Windows installation has gone bad. Reinstall. 3) Overheating of CPU or gfx. Download HWiNFO64 and keep an eye on temps. This can also show you a lot of other interesting info. (VRM temps and sometimes memory fault count) It will also show you GFX and CPU usage, so you can see average usage over a few games. If the CPU is close to 100% and gfx is not, its CPU bottlenecked. 4) RAM faults, test the sticks 1 at the time. 5) PSU power delivery issues. rare and hard to test without another one at hand. 6) Disk read interrupts. Dont know how to test or fix that, but i've heard about it. Do a health check on the disk with CrystalDiskInfo or the like. thats all I could think of, hope you find a fix :)
