Til gør det selv manden som vil være sikker på at have en icqcore.dll som ikke indeholder noget "ekstra"... Kunne fx være at ens ICQ sendte samtlige beskeder til en eksra bruger ud over den beskeden var ment til.

You have to quit ICQ and load the ICQCore.dll with the ResHack tool (look
for it on the Web)
Then you will modify the dialog boxes by stretching them until the control
where the ad is displayed is not visible anymore
You display a dialog box by selecting its ID in the resources folder on the
left
Use your mouse to stretch the dialog box, don't try to update the
coordinates (it's boring)
After you stretched a dialog box, don't forget to compile the script
After you stretched all the dialog boxes, don't forget to save the DLL
Now use REGEDIT from the Windows Start/Run and edit the key
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMirabilisICQDefaultPrefs
Change Auto Update to No
Quit REGEDIT
This will forbid ICQ from updating itself in the future
Although not necessary, you may delete the following DLLs in the ICD
directory :
icqateima32.dll
icqateimg32.dll
icqateres.dll
